Clearance is the most important factor in sheet metal slitting. The purpose of special requirements on the accuracy of slitting tools, bonded stripper rings and thin spacer rings is to make the clearance precise and constant, so the choice of clearance is very important. Refer to Table 1 for the recommended value of the clearance percentage used for related materials. It is hoped that the relevant operators can find out the correct clearance value or the percentage of clearance to material thickness based on this. It can be said that the best clearance value suitable for your own factory is ultimately obtained by the operator repeatedly in the actual production. The clearance values in the table are only for the operator's reference.
