How should the inner diameter of the knife and the slitter knife shaft better match?

Because all the hole tools on the slitting machine are equipped on the same knife shaft, theoretically, all inner diameters should be determined by the slitter knife shaft size, that is, the tolerance of the shaft should be H6, and the inner holes of the circular slitter knife, bonded stripper ring, and spacer should be C6, C6, G7 respectively. Why is the tolerance of the inner hole of the circular slitter knife and bonded stripper ring smaller? This is because the size of their inner hole will directly affect the overlap of the knife and the compression of the outer circle of the bonded stripper ring on the coil. But the spacer ring is different. They only play a role in the accuracy of the two sidefaces. As long as the inner hole is placed on the shaft, the error is not important. But in the market, the fit between the hole and the shaft is messy. Many knife manufacturers always decide the hole tolerance of slitting tools regardless of the size and tolerance of the user's slitting machine shaft. If the size of the shaft is zero, the fit will be tighter. To avoid this situation, some blade manufacturers intentionally enlarge the nominal size of the inner hole by 0.01 mm or 0.02 mm, such as φ100.01 H6 or φ100.02 H6. Of course, this is also possible, but in case the shaft achieves the lower tolerance, such a fit will appear looser, the best way is:

1) Before the slitting machine is manufactured, the user should coordinate with the slitting machine manufacturer and the knife manufacturer to coordinate the shaft hole coordination. The two manufacturers are also obliged to remind users of this issue.

2) If the shaft of the slitting machine has been completed when the knife is purchased, the user must request the slitting machine manufacturer to provide the shaft at the shoulder side, the center, and the operation side, and the two outer diameters of the shafts perpendicular to each other. Use this to coordinate the hole size with the knife manufacturer. If there is no such size, you have to measure it yourself. Don't take a chance. If there is a mistake, it is very difficult to rework.
